Vineyard Cedar Works has been in business on the island of Martha's Vineyard since the Spring of 1994.

While much of our work is on the Vineyard, we are happy to take on custom jobs anywhere in the U.S. and ship. Call us for a quote.

Vineyard Cedar Works is a design and fabrication company of distinctive fences. We offer historically designed products and contemporary fences.


Most of our fences are constructed of premium #1 Northern White Cedar, and clear Western Red Cedar.

All of our fence panels are created from raw dimensional lumber, which are hand picked to ensure that when we construct our fence panels, that the quality will surpass what you can buy from our competitors.

Most of our framed fence panels are assembled using premium adhesives and stainless steel ring nails, and all-weather screws.
All of our premium fence panels are pre-drilled to receive screws or nails, to attach the panels to any post.

Posts:

We offer our standard post, which is A.C.Q. Ground Contact Treated.
These are 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" square posts. They can be drilled, or left blank, to accommodate many different styles of fences. Also available are options to the above post. They include: #1 Northern White Cedar (N.W.C.) 5" x 5" or 6" x 6"rough sawn, or premium panned (4) sides.
All of these posts are available for fences from 3' high to 8' high.

We also have a variety of 4" x 4" #1 Northern White Cedar and A.C.Q. Ground Contact Post available.

Round posts are also available in many standard sizes, blank or drilled to accommodate several fence styles.

Most of the above posts can accommodate Slip-over post caps or Finials to finish the look of your new distinctive fence.

We also offer a new product line of Framed Bamboo Fence Panels. They are available in many different heights. From 3' to 8'.
The Bamboo itself is available in 3/4" and 1" Diameters.
Bamboo colors: Natural, Mahogany, and Black.

These Panels are constructed the same way, with the same premium materials and adhesives.
These Bamboo Panels can be installed with the same posts as our framed fence panels.

Gates:

We can create a gate to match any of our fence styles.
Options and styles include: Estate Entrance Gates, Convex & Concave design, Solid Board, Board Bottom with Spindle Top, Recessed Panel or Lattice Panel. Entrance gates -- Pools, Gardens, enclosed yards -- anywhere you need a gate.

Arbors

Styles available include:
Width from 3' wide to 8' wide.
Arbor Arches, Symmetrical or Elliptical.
Side Panels are Diagonal or square lattice
Custom Designs available upon request
These above arbors are made of Western Red Cedar (W.R.C.)
